It is our mission here to help students find their voice in music and to create an environment that encourages students of all ages to discover music through exploration and creativity. We strive to act as guides for our students, encouraging every student to lead their own personal journey in music, a journey that inspires, creates, and fills his or her heart with a passion for musical creation.
Teaching Method: Our primary focus as it relates to music theory is based upon chording, an approach that equips students with foundational chords to play and write songs.
Scheduling: Our sessions are held on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Thursday evenings between the hours of 2:00pm and 8:00pm. We meet with our students for 30 minute sessions on a weekly or every other week basis, depending on what works best for you and your family.
Payments: One on one instructional sessions are priced at $20 per 30 minutes. A group instructional session of two or three students is priced at $30 per 30 minutes. This is ideal for siblings or parents and children that wish to learn together.
We ask that payments be made on the first session of the month for the month of sessions. Payments can be made by cash, card, or check made payable to Honey Vinyl Music Studio. We do also offer the option to pay online, and are happy to assist you in setting up a reoccurring payment plan.
Policy for Missed Lessons: Every student enrolled at Honey Vinyl will be allotted 2 missed sessions per year without expected payment for those missed sessions. We understand that sickness occurs and last minute plans change. If a student misses a session after their allotted 2, we ask that the monthly payment be made in full to reserve the spot for continued sessions even if he or she can’t attend. We’re happy to try to accommodate a request for reschedule, but we might not always be able to fulfill that request due to a full schedule. We’ll do our best!
Recommended Practice Time: When beginning exploration of a new instrument of any sort, practice is an important component for growth. We encourage 20-30 minutes of practice, 4 times a week, and of course when inspiration hits, grab up your guitar or have a seat at the keys! You never know where your song will take you.
Holidays and Weather Closings: Please refer to our calendar tab to verify holiday closings. In case of inclement weather, we generally stick with the decision that the Warrick County School Corporation makes to ensure the safety of our students and families. We'll always notify you via email and post the decision on social media as well.
